Pray for Peace & Revelation during Muharram

Every year, for 40 days, Shia Muslims commemorate the martyrdom of one of their leaders. The 10th day is the most important. On this occasion, men march and chant as they beat themselves to identify with the suffering of their people and their slain leader. Those who beat their backs with knives hope to incur God's favor. Pray that those who seek God will be found by Him. Ask God to make Himself known to these desperate seekers. Pray that they will come to know that "by His(Jesus')stripes, we are healed." (I Peter 2:24)
This year, the 10th day of Muharram was marked by violence and bloodshed. Pray that God will grant peace to these troubled areas. May we be bold to share the Good News of the Prince of Peace.
