has retuned to the Bamian area. This area was
marked by suffering in 1999 and 2000 as the
Taliban launched assaults on the local population.
At times almost all the inhabitants of the Bamian
area were forced to flee their homes for the
fear of being killed or arrested by the Taliban. |
